Prateek Nigudkar, Senior Fund Manager at Shriram AMC, believes the market is now closer to a bottom, with valuations in certain pockets appearing more than reasonable.
He advised investors with a medium-term horizon to use the ongoing volatility to build positions gradually rather than attempt to time the exact market bottom.
Nigudkar expects Iran-related tensions to continue ebbing and flowing, with no quick resolution in sight at this stage.
Meanwhile, he expects year-on-year earnings growth in Q2FY27 to be stronger than in Q1, excluding oil marketing companies (OMCs). The trends that supported earnings growth in the first quarter are likely to continue, he said in an interview with Moneycontrol.
