Anil Rego, the Founder and CEO of Right Horizons expects the broadly improving earnings trend seen in Q1FY27 to continue into Q2, although performance is likely to remain differentiated across sectors.
He further expects banks and select financials, capital goods, wealth management, hospitals, and parts of oil & gas to be among the stronger sectors during the September-quarter earnings season.
Capital goods should continue to benefit from healthy order books and the ongoing capex cycle, while wealth managers are supported by strong asset growth and healthy net flows, he said in an interview with Moneycontrol.
Meanwhile, Anil Rego believes the concerns around elevated crude oil prices and higher US bond yields are partially priced into the market, as reflected in the recent volatility. However, the key uncertainty remains the duration and magnitude of these pressures, he said.
